Project 02

Majestatis Seven

A fixed mathematical rule proposed to address editorial plagiarism. The protocol moves beyond subjective criteria such as mood or subconscious inspiration.

Musical composition

Seven identical consecutive melodic notes.

Textual composition

Seven consecutive identical words in the same syntactic/conceptual order.

Within the Majestatis Seven protocol, changing even one of the seven notes is defined as sufficient to distinguish the composition under the proposed rule.

Majestatis Seven is Franco Oblatore’s proposed framework for assessing melodic and textual similarity through a defined seven-unit comparison rule.
